From tinkering with her mother's makeup to advising her friends on skin care tips during her teenage years,

Vonetta Williams always knew she wanted to help others look and feel their best.

As an adult, she began formulating her own creams and soaps in her kitchen, as a hobby, and soon developed a loyal following of customers who swore by her products. The more she experimented, the more Vonetta found herself increasingly becoming mesmerized by the science of skincare and, after years of working in the applied mathematics field, decided to formally pursue her passion and enrolled in cosmetology school.  

After receiving her cosmetology license, Williams started training with the renowned Kathryn Leverette of Solutions Clinic in the San Francisco-Bay Area, who helped Williams hone her craft and imparted invaluable expertise and guidance about addressing individual skin and beauty concerns. 

Williams continued to further hone her skills by staying abreast of the latest beauty/skincare techniques, trends and ingredient technology.  After years of studying and training under the tutelage of Kathryn Leverette, in 1998, Vonetta Cosmetics was born.

Williams has spent the last 20 years formulating her own products, resulting in a skincare and makeup line designed to address the concerns and needs of diverse skin tones. The flagship product in her line is the patent-pending TRUTH BAR, which has corrected and perfected the skin of thousands of grateful clients.
